Pienamente in linea con l’identità poliedrica di Casa Morra, che riunisce le arti, la formazione, la ricerca e il rapporto con il territorio, Luca Maria Patella è anticipatore onnivoro dei linguaggi del contemporaneo e sperimentatore. Con uno sguardo approfondito alla scienza e alla filosofia, è poeta e fotografo, scultore, performer, videoartista. In occasione del terzo anno di mostre Casa Morra propone l’installazione permanente gli Alberi parlanti – già presentata nel 1971 alla Galleria Apollinaire di Milano, alla Walker Art Gallery di Liverpool nella mostra New Italian Art curata da Gianni Carandente e nel 2015 al MACRO Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma in Ambienti Proiettivi Animati ’64-’84 – che coinvolge lo spettatore in un percorso sensoriale, onirico e poetico, fiabesco. Il visitatore, trovandosi sotto un Cielo di nuvole in movimento, può accostare l’orecchio al tronco e ai rami e ascoltare gli alberi mormorare, animarsi e sussurrare discorsi ironico-creativi o scientifici. In questo viaggio sonoro interattivo Patella crea uno spazio multimediale in cui la parola diventa linfa vitale di un gioco sinestetico.

Fully in tune with the multifaceted identity of Casa Morra, which brings together the arts, education, research, and the relationship with the local area, Luca Maria Patella is an omnivorous and experimental anticipator of contemporary artistic idioms. With his penetrating gaze on science and philosophy, he is a poet and photographer, sculptor, performer, and video artist. For the third year of exhibitions, Casa Morra proposes the permanent installation titled Alberi Parlanti [Talking Trees] – previously presented in 1971 at the Apollinaire Gallery in Milan, at the New Italian Art exhibition curated by Gianni Carandente. He then went on show at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and, in 2015, at the MACRO Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma for the Ambienti Proiettivi Animati ‘64-’84 exhibition, which involves the spectator in a sensory, dreamlike, and poetic fairy-tale journey. Visitors, finding themselves under a sky of moving clouds, can place their ear close to the trunk and branches and listen to the murmur of the trees as they come alive and whisper ironic-creative or scientific speeches. In this interactive sound journey, Patella creates a multimedia space in which the word becomes the lifeblood of a synaesthetic performance.
